Answer:

You may need a lawyer. If you do not resolve your traffic ticket by the deadline, your fine will be referred to GC services (a collection agency). When that happens, your ticket cost goes up exponentially, your license gets suspended, and you're charged with failure to appear. There's very little you can do to attempt to resolve the issue on your own at that point. It's often not the best idea to pay collections, because if you do that you're damaging your record and paying too much. Many times we are able to help clients have many of the consequences of their ticket erased, while still paying significantly less than they would have paid collections.
